Alive Medical Services (AMS) is a not-for-profit, non-governmental health facility established in February 2007, located in Namuwongo, Kampala, Uganda.
Job Summary: As we continue to expand our impact, we are seeking a passionate and committed Clinical Officer to join our team and contribute to improving the health and well-being of the communities we serve.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up.
- Prescribe medications and manage patient care in accordance with national treatment guidelines.
- Perform minor medical procedures within the scope of practice.
- Provide emergency and primary healthcare services.
- Refer patients requiring specialized care to appropriate facilities.
- Maintain accurate and confidential patient records.
- Participate in health education, disease prevention and community outreach activities.
- Ensure compliance with infection prevention and control standards.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to deliver quality patient care.
- Participate in continuous quality improvement and professional development initiatives.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- A Diploma in Clinical Medicine and Community Health from a recognized institution.
- Registration with the Uganda Allied Health Professionals Council
- A valid Annual Practicing License.
- A minimum of 3 years of clinical experience in a busy healthcare setting
- Strong clinical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team.
- High ethical standards, professionalism, Integrity and commitment to patient care.
