JOB DETAILS:

DAKS Couriers Limited is a Leading transport and Logistics company in Uganda; a home-grown company with headquarters located in Kamwokya at Plot 64, Kira Road, opposite the Uganda Museum. Our products and services range from, transportation & distribution, clearing, forwarding and warehousing.

Primary responsibilities;
1. Checking traffic updates before starting the journey.
2. Upholding safety measures before starting up the journey.
3. Keeping in touch with the transport supervisor on routes to take.
4. Keep at least a distance of ten miters when travelling in a convoy.
5. Ensuring safety of goods on the vehicle all the time.
6. Maintaining a record of vehicle maintenance receipts.
7. Keep track of road and climate conditions when travelling to avoid accidents.
8. Respect traffic rules and guidelines all the time.

Qualifications and experience;
1. Seven years of experience driving Manual Transmission vehicles.
2. Experience in escort services, former police officers and security company drivers preferred.
3. Must have a defensive driving certificate from a recognized institution.
4. Must have a clean driving and medical record.
5. Female drivers encouraged to apply.

Required skills and competencies;
1. Complete knowledge of road safety rules and regulations.
2. Familiarity with GPS tools and Google Maps.
3. Good communication and interpersonal skills.
4. Excellent driving skills on road.
5. Well-groomed and highly motivated individual.
6. Good time management skills.
7. Ability to offer excellent customer service.
