RTW Shipping & Logistics Ltd is a major logistics provider in East Africa. The company started in Mombasa, Kenya, in 2018. Today, they help businesses move cargo across the region and around the world.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Financial Management
- Maintain complete and accurate accounting records for all branch transactions.
- Record daily financial transactions in the accounting system.
- Ensure all transactions are supported by approved documentation.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly financial reports.
- Monitor branch profitability and financial performance.
Cash and Bank Management
- Manage branch petty cash in accordance with company policy.
- Verify and account for all cash collections.
- Ensure timely banking of customer receipts.
- Perform daily cash reconciliations.
- Prepare monthly bank reconciliations.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Bachelors degree in accounting, Finance, Business Administration.
Experience
- Minimum 3–5 years of accounting experience.
- At least 2 years in a logistics, freight forwarding, shipping, transport, or clearing and forwarding company.
- Experience handling branch or regional accounts is highly desirable.
- Experience in managing petty cash, banking, debtors, creditors, and branch financial reporting.
