Background

Wagagai Mining (U) Ltd ("WGG") is Uganda's first fully automated large-scale gold mining enterprise, located in Busia. The Company operates a 5,000-tonne-per-day concentrator, a 350-tonne-per-day cyanidation plant, a fully automated underground mine, and a gold smelting and refining workshop. To meet production development needs, WGG now invites applications from suitably qualified candidates for the following key technical positions:

Job Summary

Responsible for mineral processing tests to provide data support for process optimization.

Key Duties

  • Conduct flotation, magnetic separation and gravity separation tests;
  • prepare samples;
  • manage reagent regimes;
  • record and analyse test data;
  • support mineral processing engineers in test research;
  • maintain laboratory equipment.

Requirements

  • Diploma or above in mineral processing/chemistry,
  • 1-3 years of flotation/magnetic/gravity separation testing;
  • familiar with reagent regimes;
  • able to operate laboratory crushing, grinding and flotation equipment;
  • chemical safety awareness.
