Job Description:

1. Provide rotating equipment QA/QC (quality assurance/quality control) service and technical support.
2. Ensure accurate standards, procedures and specifications are in place for the maintenance of the rotating equipment jobs. Check mechanical assemblies and sub-assemblies for proper alignment and functioning.
3. Attend all necessary inspections as identified in the approved Inspection and Test Plan (ITP)
4. Inspect the production / repair quality to establish if the client requirements are being achieved
5. Record and document any and all deviations from the Project Quality Program (PQP) and the Company Quality Management System (QMS).
6. Update the system with any and all deviations from the Project Quality Program and the Company Quality Management System (QMS).
7. Coordinate with the client representatives to ensure that inspections are carried out Generate client Requests For Inspection (RFI) where required providing sufficient notice for hold, witness and inspection points.
8. Carry out inspections on Exception Items (EI) as documented and sign off as closed when activity is complete.
9. Review the calibration status of any test equipment being utilized on the project ensuring the equipment is within calibration prior to use.
10. Provide support and advice to the workshop personnel in relation to the Project Quality
11. Program and the Company Quality Management System (QMS)
12. Prepare inspection reports, final reports, surveillance reports, - Maintain good record keeping of activities carried out
13. Comply with all Project HSE requirements i.e. PPE, work Permits etc.

Qualifications, Responsibilities and Skills

1. Qualification: Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
2. At least 4 years minimum relevant Mech-Rotating Equipment inspection experience in Petrochemical, hydrocarbon facilities or Oil & Gas field
3. A good knowledge of QMS and applicable international standards such as API, ISO
4. Experience in the design and operation of rotating equipment, such as pumps, compressors, gear box, turbines
5. Shall have adequate knowledge of Nondestructive testing (NDT) such as MT, PT, UT & VT and RTFI
6. Field inspection experience is mandatory.

Salary per month: Basic UGX 3,890,298
