Description
Qualification
Applicants should be Ugandans in possession of an Honours Bachelor’s Degree in Statistics; or Quantitative Economics; or any other related field plus a Post Graduate qualification in Economics; or Finance; or Business Administration; or Management; or Statistics; or any other related field from a recognized University/Institution.
Working Experience
Applicants should have a minimum of six (6) years relevant working experience, three (3) of which should have been served at the level of Senior Statistician; or Senior Economist in Government or equivalent level of experience from a reputable Organization.
Duties
The incumbent will be responsible to the Assistant Commissioner for performing the following duties:-
- Supporting the preparation of Public Investment Plans, Sectoral budgets and budget framework papers;
- Supporting the monitoring and analysis of statistical developments in various sectors;
- Supporting the preparation and dissemination of Government performance standards and indicators;
- Supporting the monitoring and evaluation of performance of Government development plans, programmes and projects;
- Supporting the development of statistical plans in Government;
