Wagagai Mining (U) Ltd ("WGG") is Uganda's first fully automated large-scale gold mining enterprise, located in Busia. The Company operates a 5,000-tonne-per-day concentrator, a 350-tonne-per-day cyanidation plant, a fully automated underground mine, and a gold smelting and refining workshop. To meet production development needs, WGG now invites applications from suitably qualified candidates for the following key technical positions:
Job Summary
Responsible for operation and optimization of the 350 t/d carbon-in-leach (CIL) cyanidation circuit.
Key Duties
Control cyanide concentration, dissolved oxygen, leaching time and carbon adsorption; monitor tailings detoxification; handle leaching anomalies; ensure cyanide management compliance; train local operators.
Requirements
Diploma or above in metallurgy/chemical engineering; 5+ years of cyanide leaching experience; familiar with CIL/CIP processes; under 50 years of age; strong commitment to safety and environmental protection.
