Job Description

ACTIVITIES 1. Translate project stakeholder engagement objectives into operational activities and assignments based on the Project Stakeholder Engagement Plan. 2. Work with Stakeholder Engagement Planner to plan SE activities in area of jurisdiction including relationship, operational and development-oriented engagement. 3. Ensure CLOs and Grievance Officers develop daily, weekly and monthly stakeholder engagement schedules aligned with requirements 4. Monitor changing community dynamics and perceptions of Tilenga Project on an ongoing basis and proactively report any changes which threaten social license to operate, and develop plans to communicate more effectively and improve positive perceptions. 5. Develop understanding of the contractual social obligations set out in Contractors and subcontractors’ contracts & to monitor relations between Total Energies’ contractors/sub- contractors and local communities. 6. Supervise on going community recruitment for unskilled and semi-skilled jobs, and track project benefits by community; document reports and trends of non-compliance by contractor and escalate to management as required. 7. Anticipate and manage community concerns about the project. 8. Grow community awareness, understanding and access to the Project Community Grievance Mechanism and ensure its operation including regular feedback to grievants’ and timely resolution of grievances in line with CGM Procedure. 9. Ensure that community related data is input/archived into the Company’s social management system (Borealis) 10. Produce daily, weekly, monthly reports on Total Energies social performance identifying risk and opportunities and track commitments.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIRED EXPERIENCE Qualification: 1. Degree in Social Sciences, Human Geography, Rural Development, Anthropology, Human Resources or related field

Experience: 2. Minimum 5 years’ experience in community projects, development projects and or in other similar (NGOs) leading a high performing team. 3. Experience of various aspects of social performance e.g., stakeholder engagement, community grievance mechanism, land access and resettlement, and large-scale project development preferred. 4. Well-developed people skills with confidence to engage with individuals, groups and administrative, traditional and faith-based leadership, and project management. 5. Experience with negotiation and conflict resolution 6. High Proficiency in the usage of computers and software, primarily Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) 7. Exceptional analytical skills and good report writing capabilities
