Job Purpose
The Braider will provide high-quality professional hair braiding services while creating a welcoming and luxurious salon experience for every client. The successful candidate should demonstrate excellent technical skills, creativity, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Consult with clients to understand their preferred hairstyle, braid type, length, and desired finish.
- Perform a variety of professional braiding styles to a high standard.
- Prepare clients' hair appropriately before braiding.
- Ensure neat, clean, secure, and long-lasting hairstyles.
- Recommend suitable hairstyles and hair-care practices based on clients' preferences and hair condition.
- Maintain excellent hygiene and sanitation practices throughout each service.
- Handle salon tools and equipment safely and responsibly.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and attractive workstation.
- Provide friendly, respectful, and personalized customer service.
- Maintain professional communication with clients and colleagues.
- Manage appointments and complete services within reasonable timeframes.
- Maintain awareness of current hair trends and techniques.
- Report any damaged equipment or shortages of salon supplies to management.
- Support the overall cleanliness and smooth operation of the salon.
- Perform other duties related to the role as assigned by management.
Qualifications and Experience
- Proven experience as a professional hair braider.
- Relevant beauty, hairdressing, or cosmetology training is an advantage.
- Strong practical knowledge of different braiding techniques and styles.
- Excellent attention to detail and finishing.
- Ability to work efficiently while maintaining quality.
- Good personal hygiene and professional appearance.
