JOB DETAILS:
Minimum Qualification
Applicants should be Ugandans holding a Diploma in Library and Information Science obtained from a recognized University/Institution.

Working Experience
Applicants should have a minimum of three (03) years relevant working experience at the level of Library Assistant in Government or equivalent level of experience from a reputable Organization.

Duties
The incumbent will be responsible to the Librarian for performing the following duties:-
• Receiving, stamping and recording incoming information/materials, books/documents and publications;
• Checking-in, checking-out and circulating library materials;
• Maintaining circulation records and making reserves on requested books;
• Conducting searches in electronic databases and catalogues for users;
• Shelving Library materials;
• Managing the library inventory, making stock checks, preparing item lists for removal, relocation and binding;
• Maintaining the library clean, safe and organized;
• Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
