Job Description
Qualifications and experience 1. Must have a full professional accounting qualification in ACCA, CPA, CIMA or CIA. 2. Must be a holder of a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration with bias in Accounting or Finance, or any other related Accounting and Finance Degree obtained from a recognized institution of higher learning. Should have at least three (3) years’ related work experience in a recognized institution. 4. Must be a good team player 5. Knowledge of computer accounting packages like Pastel, SAP is a MUST 6. Must have a high level of confidentiality 7. Ability to work under minimum supervision 8. Must be a mature and practicing Christian
Main duties and responsibilities 1. Responsible for preparing, posting, entering and posting payment vouchers as well as adjustment vouchers. 2. Reconciling control accounts and reporting any anomalies to the Senior Accountant. Responsible for the management of the University payroll. Reviewing of the monthly trial balances to ensure that all entries made into an organization’s general ledger are properly balanced. 5. Providing training and supervision of all account’s personnel 6. Ensuring safe custody of documents relating to the office. 7. In charge of managing the College budget. 8. Carrying out routine bank reconciliations. 9. Responsible for reconciling cash and petty cash floats. 10. Any other official duty as shall be assigned by the Supervisor from time to time.
