JOB DETAILS:

Tavola Restaurant is looking for a smart, organized, detail-oriented individual with excellent service and good communication skills to join our team.

As a hostess, you will be responsible for welcoming and greeting guests warmly upon arrival while maintaining professionalism at all times

You’ll also work hand in hand with the management and service team to provide seamless services hence maintaining customer satisfaction.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Welcome and professionally receive all guests upon arrival.
• Manage and coordinate restaurant reservations, walk-ins and seating arrangements.
• Escort guests to their tables and provide menus.
• Answer incoming calls and respond to guest inquiries professionally.
• Communicate reservations, guest preferences, special requests and celebrations to the relevant team members.
• Coordinate with the service team to ensure a smooth and efficient guest flow.
• Maintain an organized, clean and welcoming entrance and hostess station.
• Assist with guest concerns and escalate issues to management when necessary.
• Provide accurate information about the restaurant, menu, specials and events.
• Ensure guests receive a warm, professional and seamless experience from arrival to departure.
• Perform other front-of-house duties as assigned by management.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

• Certificate, diploma or equivalent qualification in Hospitality, Hotel Management, Customer Service or a related field is an added advantage.
• Previous experience in a hostess, front-office, customer service or hospitality role is preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Professional, confident and well-presented.
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multitask and remain calm in a busy restaurant environment.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, weekends and public holidays when required.
• Good knowledge of restaurant etiquette and guest service standards is an advantage.
