LABORATORY TECHNICIAN (GEOLOGICAL SURVEY)

Qualification
Applicants should be Ugandans holding a Diploma in Laboratory Technology; or Chemistry; or Mineral Processing Engineering; or Extractive Metallurgical Engineering; or Mechanical Engineering; or Chemistry from a recognized University/Institution.
Working Experience
Duties
The incumbent will be responsible to the Senior Laboratory Technician for performing the following duties:-
- Carrying out routine preventive maintenance in respect of all equipment in the geothermal department;
- Maintaining stores in respect of electronic parts, spare parts, circuit boards, etc., that are needed for the proper functioning of the equipment;
- Maintaining copies of manuals and circuit designs for the equipment;
- Ensuring that the geophysical equipment in the stores is in proper working condition even when not in use;
- Carrying out computer programming as may be required;
- Providing computer training and help desk services to staff;
