PRINCIPAL DEVELOPMENT OFFICER - LOCAL ECONOMIC DEVELOP

Qualification
Applicants should be Ugandans holding an Honors Bachelor’s Degree in Economics; or Education; or Business Management; or Agricultural Economics; or any relevant Degree plus a Post Graduate Diploma in Monitoring and Evaluation; or Project Management obtained from a recognized University/Institution.
Working Experience
Applicants should have a minimum of six (6) years relevant working experience, three (03) of which should have been served at the level of Senior Development Officer in Government or equivalent level of experience from a reputable Organization.
Duties
The incumbent will be responsible to the Assistant Commissioner, Local Economic Development for performing the following duties:-
- Reviewing and developing policies for economic development in Local Governments in liaison with Assistant Commissioner, Local Economic Development;

- Initiating special projects for addressing district development objectives in liaison with Assistant Commissioner, Local Economic Development;

- Guiding and mentoring Local Governments in community driven development;

- Providing platform for Private Public Partnerships with Local Governments;
