PRINCIPAL PETROLEUM OFFICER (PRODUCTION)
Description
Minimum Qualification
Applicants should be Ugandans holding an Honours Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil and Chemical) or any related field plus a Master of Science Degree in any of the Petroleum Engineering Pipeline Engineering fields from a recognized University/ Institution. Applicants should be registered with the Engineers Registration Board.
Working Experience
Applicants should have six (6) years relevant working experience in production processes and facilities engineering, drilling engineering as well as reservoir engineering concepts and practices in the oil and gas sector, three (3) of which should have been served at Senior Petroleum Officer level in Government or equivalent level of experience from a reputable organization.
Duties
The incumbent will be responsible to the Assistant Commissioner, Development and Production for performing the following duties:-
- Analyzing actual field performance and recommending new drilling programmes;
- Participating in Development and Production operations;
- Participating in reservoir simulation for development projects;
- Advising and making recommendations on the relevant development and production policy requirements;
- Advising and making recommendations on the appropriate field rules and conservation orders necessary to achieve maximum recovery of oil and gas;
- Participating in formulation, review of policies and legislations;
