JOB PURPOSE
To support the efficient and accurate execution of financial operations relating to institutional aggregation services, including account setup, float management, payment processing, transaction reconciliation and settlement of partner SACCO funds. The role will ensure timely processing of bank transfers and MSACCO withdrawals, accurate maintenance of financial records, and prompt resolution of transaction discrepancies to support reliable service delivery to partner SACCOs
Key Responsibilities
- Manage institutional accounts on the aggregation platform for bank transfers and Airtel Money withdrawals.
- Load and monitor float balances to facilitate withdrawals and bank transfers, ensuring adequate availability of funds.
- Record float payments in the designated voucher books and maintain accurate supporting documentation.
- Support partner SACCOs in accessing internet banking platforms for transaction tracking, reconciliation and verification of float payments.
- Conduct daily reconciliations of MTN, Airtel wallets and DFCU Bank & Stanbic bank account wallets against transaction records and system reports.
- Ensure timely settlement and liquidation of partner SACCO funds, tracking outstanding balances and delayed payments.
- Investigate and escalate failed, delayed or unreflected transactions, reconciliation discrepancies and other payment-related exceptions.
- Prepare accurate operational reports and maintain complete records of transactions, reconciliations, float movements and settlements.
- Adhere to established financial controls, approval procedures and documentation requirements.
Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Banking or a related field.
- At least two years of relevant experience in financial operations, payments processing, reconciliations or settlements.
- Experience in mobile money operations, float management or digital financial services will be an added advantage.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools.
- Experience working with SACCOs, banks or fintech platforms is desirable.
