JOB DETAILS:

Tavola Restaurant is looking for a smart, organized, detail-oriented and customer-focused Cashier to join our team.

As a Cashier, you will be responsible for handling guest payments, processing orders accurately and ensuring every transaction is completed smoothly and professionally.

You will work closely with our service, kitchen and management teams to ensure accurate billing and a seamless experience for every guest.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Billing & Point of Sale operations: Greet guests warmly and handle all billing operations accurately.
• Cash Handling & Reconciliation: Responsible for opening and closing cash drawer, counting cash at start and end of shift.
• Customer Service: Provide excellent, polite, and professional service at the cash desk. Handle customer queries regarding bills, resolve complaints calmly.
• Maintain a neat, organized, and presentable cashier area.
• Follow all restaurant standard operating procedures, cashiering policies, and financial controls.
• Ensure confidentiality of all sales and financial information.
• Maintain proper filing of invoices, receipts, and daily reports.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

• Education: Diploma in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Hotel management or related field.
• Added advantage: Certificate in Hotel/Restaurant Management.
• Experience as a Cashier role.
• Excellent in mental mathematics and extremely fast with calculations.
• High level of honesty, integrity, and trustworthiness.
• Proficient in MS Excel, POS, and accounting basics.
• Smart, well-groomed, and excellent communication skills in English.
• Ability to work under pressure, during peek hours, weekends, shifts, and holidays. Customer-focused with a calm and friendly personality. Must be aged 24-35 years.
• Should be flexible to work at night shifts.
