Background
Exquisite Solution Limited is recruiting a BDE – Lubricants for a client in the oil and gas sector. The role will drive lubricants sales and market growth within the assigned territory in Uganda by managing distributors, developing industrial customers, training mechanics and station staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage territory pricing in line with approved pricing policies to deliver sales and margin targets.
- Manage customer accounts by ensuring accurate invoicing, account reconciliation, payment follow-up, debt collection, and timely resolution of account issues.
- Conduct planned customer visits to retain accounts, identify new business, and build the sales pipeline using POPSA and SPANCOP.
- Track and report territory performance through accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting on sales, volume, margin, pipeline, and target achievement.
- Execute the approved sales and distribution strategy to achieve effective territory coverage, product availability, and reliable customer supply.
- Deliver agreed territory targets for sales volume, revenue, margin, availability, visibility, quality, and customer pricing.
- Ensure compliance with HSSEQ standards across all customer and partner sites in coordination with the HSSEQ Officer.
- Drive customer acquisition and brand growth through targeted trade activities, customer engagement, and promotional initiatives.
- Coach and support dealers and sales teams through training and performance initiatives to achieve agreed sales targets.
- Represent the company at assigned events and activities, complete required product and technical training.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Three years of experience in field sales, account development, or B2B sales; oil and gas experience is an advantage.
- Candidates from Kampala, East Region (Jinja/Mbale), and North Region (Acholi/Gulu) are highly encouraged to apply.
- Prior experience in door-to-door or route-to-market sales is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal, negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
- Self-motivated, energetic, and resilient, with the ability to work independently in the field.
- Sound financial awareness, including basic credit and payment management.
- Strong reporting, record-keeping, and market awareness with solid commercial acumen.
