Century Investors is passionate about mastering our team’s professional experience, skill and knowledge to tackle whatever kind of construction project comes our way. We don’t shy away from the “difficult” projects – we take them on and deliver satisfactory results EVERY SINGLE TIME. The fact that, after over 20 years, 70% percent of our projects are referrals/repeat clients testifies to the two principles that govern our operations: Integrity & First-Class Professionalism.

We are looking for a teachable, detail-oriented, and dependable Technical Assistant to work alongside the CEO, providing support with construction drawings, quotations, valuations, and other technical and project-related work. Integrity and professionalism are the foundational ethic of Century Investors. If you’re someone who cuts corners, overlooks important details, or needs to be constantly pushed to get things done, this may not be the opportunity for you.

Minimum Requirements:

  • At least a Diploma in Civil Engineering, Building Construction, or a related field. Degree holders are welcome to apply.
  • A good understanding of basic construction processes, materials, and methods.
  • Basic computer skills and confidence using common software packages, particularly Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD or similar drawing software. The ability to use AutoCAD reasonably well will be an advantage.
  • A good understanding of construction drawings, measurements, quantities, and costing principles.
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills, with the ability to work accurately with figures and technical details.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • A willingness to learn, accept guidance, and improve through practical experience.
  • Honesty, attention to detail, initiative, and a strong sense of responsibility.

You should be able to…

  • Assist in preparing, editing, and interpreting construction and technical drawings using AutoCAD or similar software.
  • Prepare and review quotations, cost estimates, Bills of Quantities (BOQs), and material schedules.
  • Assist with project valuations, measurements, and calculations of quantities and costs.
  • Organise and check project information to ensure that figures, measurements, and other details are accurate and consistent.
  • Use spreadsheets and other software to prepare, update, and maintain technical documents and project records.
  • Follow established procedures while learning new processes and taking on increasing responsibility.
  • Identify errors, discrepancies, or missing information and raise them before they become bigger problems.
  • Communicate clearly with the CEO, colleagues, suppliers, and other relevant parties when gathering or clarifying technical information.
  • Manage assigned tasks independently, keep work organised, and meet agreed deadlines.
  • Adapt to changing priorities and contribute extra time when reasonably needed during particularly busy project periods, with any additional working arrangements handled fairly and in accordance with agreed terms.

You will play an important role in helping the CEO manage the technical demands of the business. From preparing a quotation to checking quantities or refining a drawing, your contribution will help ensure that work is completed accurately, efficiently, and to the standard Century Investors expects.
