TUTOR – NURSING – 2 POSITIONS
Job Purpose
To deliver quality nursing education and training, combining classroom instruction, practical skills development and professional mentorship.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and deliver nursing lessons according to the approved curriculum.
- Develop lesson plans, teaching materials and student assessments.
- Facilitate classroom, laboratory and practical learning.
- Assess students' knowledge, skills and professional competencies.
- Provide academic mentorship and guidance.
- Supervise students during clinical learning activities where applicable.
- Maintain accurate attendance, assessment and academic records.
- Provide feedback to students on their academic and practical performance.
- Participate in examinations and assessment moderation.
- Support curriculum review and academic quality-improvement activities.
- Promote evidence-based nursing practice and professional ethics.
- Maintain good relationships with clinical placement sites.
- Participate in student welfare and mentorship programmes.
- Engage in research, professional development and community activities.
- Attend departmental and institutional meetings.
- Perform other academic responsibilities assigned by management.
Qualifications and Experience
- Relevant nursing qualification from a recognised institution.
- Valid professional registration and practising licence where applicable.
- Relevant clinical and/or teaching experience.
- Good teaching, communication and mentoring skills.
- Computer literacy is an advantage.
