HVAC / BMS ENGINEER – OFFICER
Job Purpose
To manage, monitor and maintain HVAC and Building Management System (BMS) infrastructure within the pharmaceutical manufacturing facility, ensuring reliable environmental conditions and compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Operate, monitor and maintain HVAC systems serving production and controlled areas.
- Monitor temperature, humidity, pressure differentials and air-quality parameters.
- Manage and monitor the Building Management System (BMS).
- Troubleshoot HVAC and BMS alarms and system faults.
- Coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
- Monitor AHUs, chillers, compressors, pumps, cooling systems and related equipment.
- Maintain required environmental conditions in production and storage areas.
- Review HVAC performance trends and identify deviations.
- Support qualification and validation activities for HVAC systems.
- Maintain HVAC maintenance records and logbooks.
- Coordinate contractors and service providers.
- Ensure HVAC systems comply with GMP, safety and engineering requirements.
- Investigate recurring HVAC failures and recommend corrective actions.
- Participate in energy-efficiency and utility optimisation initiatives.
- Support audits and regulatory inspections.
- Prepare maintenance and performance reports.
Qualifications & Experience
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering or a related discipline.
- 4–5 years of relevant experience.
- Previous pharmaceutical manufacturing experience is required/preferred.
- Experience with BMS and controlled-environment HVAC systems is highly desirable.
