Background
Enabel in Uganda will be implementing a new Country strategy 2023-2027.
Within this context, Enabel is seeking to recruit 1 (ONE) Biomedical Engineering Expert to inorder to achieve the specific objectives of the country portfolio and the intervention.
Job description-Major Roles and Responsibilities
You contribute to the implementation of the interventions by providing input for planning, execution, coordination and monitoring and evaluation inorder to ensure that the results of the intervention (outputs-outcomes) are achieved within the set execution deadline;
You provide the necessary technical input in the area of expertise that is in management of medical equipment inorder to achieve the intervention’s technical performance in accordance with national and international norms and standards;
You organise knowledge building and knowledge management in the thematic area of the management of medical equipment inorder to create an inclusive, informed climate of trust within the intervention/ Project;
You ensure capacity development of partner entities inorder to contribute to the improvement of their organisation, processes, systems and staff competences.
Your profile
Required qualifications
Master’s degree in Biomedical Engineerin g or related studies;
Required experience
Minimum 5 years proven experience in public hospitals and Health Centers ,infrastructures,equipment, maintenance and settings;
Minimum 5 years proven experience in facilitating trainings of medical personnel in the use of medical equipment.
Required Skills and Knowledge
Proven experience and knowledge of quality control process for Health facility equipment and infrastructures;
Demonstrated skill in management, planning and reporting in the fields of health facility equipment and infrastructures;
Ability to produce/adapt short course training on health facility maintenance (equipment and infrastructures) and to train health facility technicians at district level;
Clear and concise writing skills, good communication, presentation and facilitation skills
Demonstrated interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a multi-actor environment at central a decentralised level;
