Job Summary: Bondstar Adhesives (U) Ltd is seeking an experienced, results-driven and commercially minded Sales Manager to lead our sales operations, expand our market presence and drive revenue growth across Uganda.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement the company’s sales strategy and annual/monthly sales plans
- Drive achievement of sales, revenue, collection and market growth targets
- Grow sales volumes and market share through effective sales and business development initiatives.
- Recruit, lead and manage sales agents, foot soldiers and sales representatives across major cities and towns.
- Develop and manage relationships with distributors, stockists, dealers and key business partners
- Plan and execute *market activations and promotional activities to increase sales and product visibility.
- Conduct market intelligence and identify opportunities for market expansion and competitive advantage
- Monitor and manage the performance of the sales team against agreed targets and KPIs.
- Prepare regular sales forecasts, workplans and performance reports for Management.
- Ensure effective customer acquisition, retention and collection of outstanding payments.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Commerce, Economics, Marketing, Sales or a related field.
- 10+ years’ commercial sales experience preferably in FMCG.
- Proven experience in B2B and B2C sales
- Strong knowledge of the Ugandan market including major cities and towns.
- Proven experience managing distributors, stockists and strategic partnerships
- Demonstrated ability to develop sales plans and consistently meet and exceed targets
- Strong team leadership and people management skills.
- CIM, Sales or other relevant professional qualifications are an added advantage.
- A Postgraduate qualification in Business Administration, Marketing or a related field is an added advantage.
- Membership in a relevant professional association is an added advantage.
- Willingness to travel extensively across all major cities in Uganda.
