The Junior Projects Engineer – Electrical is tasked to provide assistance to ongoing project works in terms of technical capability, administrative support, ensuring standard materials being used, and a safe working environment.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Undertake risk assessments and ensure that it is safe to work.
? Bring any risks to the attention of the company management and if necessary to halt work
until safe to proceed.
? Ensure all paperwork is available and that it has been reviewed and understood before
setting out to Site.
? Assist Project Engineer from time-to-time; to determine scope of a project and design inline to LafargeHolcim design criteria, support the process of selection and project
? Assist Project Engineer; to develop BOQs, Costs estimates and Evaluation of offers to
ensure compliance to standards and fair competitiveness.
? Assist Project Engineer in coordination/supervision of installation and commissioning
works to ensure the scheduled milestones are met.
? Generate and maintain regular progress and status reports to ensure necessary corrective
actions are taken.
? Identify and address any challenges on site to ensure the implementation is aligned to the
? If requested to do so, to record any changes to scope and “as build” drawings as agreed
by line manager.
? Manage and ensure quality and safety of all projects resources.
? Any other duty as may be assigned from time-to-time by the Line manager
? Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronic engineering.
? Knowledge of safety procedures and standards.
? Knowledge of project management techniques.
? Technical knowledge of Electrical maintenance operations.
? Proficient in project scheduling software such as Microsoft Project or Primavera.
? Basic computer knowledge with applications like AUTOCAD, SolidWorks, MS excel, word
and power point.
? Ability to write, read and interpret electrical drawings.
