Job Summary
Kampala Marriott Hotel is hiring a Butcher to pull and thaw food from freezer storage, check and record deliveries, rotate stock, monitor food quality and portioning, and prepare various cuts of beef, lamb and pork according to recipes and quality standards.
Responsibilities
The Butcher will be responsible for:
- Pulling and thawing food from freezer storage.
- Checking and recording deliveries.
- Rotating stock to ensure freshness and minimize waste.
- Monitoring food quality and portioning to maintain standards.
- Preparing various cuts of beef, lamb, and pork according to recipes and quality standards.
Qualifications and Experience
Previous experience as a butcher or in a similar role is required. Knowledge of different meat cuts and preparation techniques is essential. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adhere to food safety regulations.
