Sanlam Life Insurance Uganda Limited (SLUL), one of the Leading Life Insurance Companies in Uganda is seeking to recruit a highly versatile and passionate Business Development Leader to drive our business growth through establishing a robust sales strategy for our retail (Individual life) products, serving our customers effectively as well as building and maintaining good relationships with the key stakeholders within the respective regions.
Roles and Responsibilities:
A) People Management
– Provide leadership to a team of Sales Agents and Team Leaders
– Recruitment, training and retention of a high caliber of Team Leaders & Sales Agents.
B) Business Growth
– Lead the team in achieving the set Sales targets for the Retail products for the region.
– Monitor the performance of the team whilst implementing timely interventions to manage under-performance.
– Open new business avenues for the Sales Team.
C) Customer Service
– Service our new and existing clients in the field;
– Ensure that customer that customer queries at a branch level are managed expeditiously.
– Ensure branch compliance to the statutory and regulatory standards
– Obtain periodic approvals in line with the local business requirements.
• Degree in any field of studies.
• Any leadership qualification will be an added advantage
• Successful Sales Experience in the FMCG or Financial services sector
• Minimum of two (2) years’ leading a large Sales Team
• Great Marketer.
• Excellent interpersonal skills to develop and maintain solid relationships with internal/external stakeholders.
• Ability to resolve customer queries with utmost efficiency & care.
