Pharmacy Dispenser job at BCI Pharmaceuticals

BCI Pharmacy is seeking a fastidious, customer-focused Pharmacy Dispenser to join our wholesale and retail team in Kampala. Under the direct supervision of the Senior Dispensing Pharmacist, you will support safe dispensing, precise stock management, regulatory compliance, and high-quality customer care.

• Prescription & Dispensing: Receive, verify, prepare, and label prescribed medications accurately while offering basic guidance on medicine usage and storage.
• Inventory & Stock Control: Apply FEFO (First Expiry, First Out) rules, track minimum stock levels, monitor expiry dates, assist in receiving/loading shipments, and conduct stock reconciliations.
• Documentation & Systems: Capture all transactions in the pharmacy management system, maintain clean audit trails, and file prescription records securely.
• Quality & Compliance: Strictly adhere to Good Pharmacy Practice (GPP), Good Distribution Practice (GDP), National Drug Authority (NDA), and Ministry of Health standards.
• Customer Care: Attend to retail and wholesale clients promptly and professionally while escalating complex clinical enquiries to the Senior Pharmacist.

• Solid understanding of pharmaceutical products, storage conditions, and inventory principles.
• Exceptional accuracy, attention to detail, and numerical capability.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and patient confidentiality skills.

• Diploma or recognized qualification in pharmacy or dispensing.
• Professional registration and licensing in compliance with Ugandan regulations.
• Prior experience in a pharmacy, hospital, or pharmaceutical distribution environment is an added advantage.
• Proficiency in computerized pharmacy software and ERP systems such as QuickBooks or Tally. (*Required)
