Pediatric and Adolescent HIV Prevention, Care and Treatment Quality Improvement (QI) Coach

The Pediatric and Adolescent QI Coach will be based in the district where the assigned health facilities are located, working in collaboration with the district coaches and the District Health Team to provide technical support in the mentorship of health care workers at three high-burden health facilities to implement the MOH care package for HEI/EID as well as pediatric and adolescent HIV care.
Using site level data, identify and address capacity building gaps for health workers and Work Improvement Teams (WIT) in pediatric and adolescent HIV care and treatment.Qualifications:
Required Experience & Qualifications
Diploma holder in medicine, nursing, public health and other health related fields.
A minimum of 3 years’ service delivery experience, especially in Pediatric and Adolescent HIV prevention, care and treatment and quality improvement at health facility level.
Clear understanding of current Uganda ART guidelines, Differentiated Service Delivery Models (DSDM) guidelines and pediatric ART optimization guidelines.
Experience working with or within a government institution or NGO, especially in an integrated health programming context.
Experience in using data to improve program performance and/or supporting facility-based quality improvement teams.
Experience in improving processes or outcomes through quality improvement approaches
Ability to translate findings or technical concepts into accessible messages via trainings or written materials, which will serve to transfer knowledge and skills to the health workers.
