Responsibilities

Essential Duties/Tasks and Responsibilities:

Enhance USAID/Uganda’s existing learning capabilities and introduce improved avenues to learning.
Lead the design of learning experiences with a focus on incorporating a variety of learning methods and the creation of an effective learning environment for the project, including IPs.
Lead the development, design, and implementation of the Learning Agenda leveraging USAID collaboration, learning, and adaptation (CLA) best practices.
Lead the development of an annual Lessons Learned Report.
Lead the development and execution of Learning Events, IP Workshops, and Interim/Final Presentations by topic (for example, HIV/AIDS, Reproductive Health, Malaria, TB, MCH).
Provide overarching technical guidance on all aspects related to learning across various health sub-sectors.
Lead the development of IP and PMP best practices and lessons learned for inclusion in multiple reports, including a Lessons Learned Report.
Establish a process for ongoing learning and continuous improvement.
Lead proposals to modify implementation strategies for programs and projects based on lessons learned, contributing to evidence-based programming and decision-making.
Lead relationship management and data sharing between the project and IP Program Managers and Technical Teams.
Incorporate technical, contextual, and experiential CLA learning into the program cycle processes.
Provide expert advice to USAID staff and partners on CLA.
Directly supervise the Information and Knowledge Management Specialist.
Develop and conduct training, workshops, facilitated learning conversations, and other capacity-building opportunities around CLA.
Develop training curricula for staff, data collectors, and IPs.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

At least 7 years of formal research, CLA and/or Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) experience.
Experience in the humanitarian, transition, or development field.
At least 2 years of experience in USAID-funded projects.
Education:

Master’s Degree from an accredited university/college in adult learning, organizational development or relevant subject.
