What you would do You will join the team as Finance and Admin Assistant. As such, you will assist our finance and admin team in running the administration, procurement, office management, and reporting of financial data of the company under the supervision of an Accountant and the Head of Accounting. Concretely, your responsibilities will include: • Administration and office management: handling petty cash, ensuring maintenance of office space, front desk management, managing insurance processes, assisting to plan and organize company events. • Compile monthly accountability (Cash and bank) statements to the accountant and head of accountant in accordance with the reporting timetable, • Record financial transactions by preparing and booking accounting entries in the accounting system. • Support the annual audit process by preparing all supporting documents and responses to audit queries. • Manage employee travel plans end-to-end. • Book air tickets and organize airport transfers, accommodation and programs for employees or visitors traveling. • Responsible for the visa and work permit application process for expatriate employees. • Identify procurement needs of the company in a timely manner. • Source, compare and negotiate prices with suppliers for purchases requested by the team. You will work closely with the finance team and other departments and you will be the first point of contact for all administrative related issues. You will work out of our beautiful office in Bugolobi, Kampala. What we are looking for We are looking for an analytical, sharp-minded person with a strong drive to get things done. You have the ambition and potential to grow. In a perfect world you bring the following: • Business-related degree (Business administration, Commerce, or Finance) • 1-2 years of experience in finance and administration • You MUST be enrolled for CPA (or be planning to) • Proficient use of MS Excel and MS Word • Good communication and negotiation skills • Highly motivated and social • Organized and time conscious
