Epidemiologist (National Disease Informatics)

Description

Support technical assistance processes for the development of disease control program planning, including transboundary (TADs) and zoonotic diseases (PZDs);
Support the implementation of the FAO/OIE/WHO recommendations, including SET, PVS and JEE, to sustain the animal health surveillance system;
Participate in institutional surveillance data user's group meetings and facilitate linkage with external stakeholders;
Support capacity-building programs for national epidemiology services, including implementation of In-service applied veterinary epidemiology training (ISAVET);
Perform other related duties as required or directed.
CANDIDATES WILL BE ASSESSED AGAINST THE FOLLOWING

Minimum Requirements

A University degree in Veterinary Medicine and post-graduate study in field epidemiology or related fields
Ugandan National
Working knowledge of English
