Job Summary
To support the Customer Engagement Manager with day-to-day administrative, research, data and coordination activities that help the function maintain accurate customer information, monitor engagement activities, track actions and prepare timely business information for management use.
The role is primarily focused on organising information, maintaining records, conducting basic analysis and ensuring follow-up, rather than making independent business or commercial decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Customer & Business Information
Maintain and regularly update customer and prospect databases; capture new customer information; organise customer records; check information for completeness and accuracy; flag missing or outdated information to the manager. - Customer Engagement Support
Update customer engagement trackers; record calls, meetings, enquiries and follow-ups; prepare lists of customers requiring follow-up; support the manager with scheduling and coordination of customer engagements. - Business Analysis Support
Collect basic sales, customer and operational data from internal teams; organise data in Excel; perform simple calculations and comparisons; identify basic trends or gaps and present findings for review by the manager. - Reporting & Dashboards
Update existing weekly and monthly reports and dashboards; consolidate information received from different teams; check figures for consistency; prepare simple summaries for management review. - Research
Conduct desk research on customers, companies, industries and relevant market developments; compile findings in a structured format; maintain research files and source information for future reference. - Meeting & Action Management
Support preparation for internal and customer meetings; take clear meeting notes where required; document agreed actions, responsible persons and deadlines; update action trackers and follow up on outstanding items. - Documentation & Administration
Organise customer, engagement and business development-related files; maintain folders and document registers; prepare basic documents, reports and presentations; support filing and retrieval of information when required. - Proposal & Presentation Support
Assist in compiling information required for proposals, presentations and customer documents; format documents and presentations; conduct basic research and fact-check information before submission to the manager for review. - Internal Coordination
Follow up with relevant internal teams for information required by the Customer Engagement function; consolidate responses; maintain simple task trackers and escalate delays or missing information to the manager. - Process & Data Support
Help maintain standard templates, trackers and reporting tools; identify recurring administrative gaps or data inconsistencies; suggest simple improvements to the manager based on observations.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Business Administration, Business Management, Business Analytics, Commerce, Economics, Marketing or a related field.
- Basic knowledge of business analysis, business development or performance management.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
- Strong research, data organisation and reporting skills.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work with confidential business information.
