Background

Wagagai Mining (U) Ltd ("WGG") is Uganda's first fully automated large-scale gold mining enterprise, located in Busia. The Company operates a 5,000-tonne-per-day concentrator, a 350-tonne-per-day cyanidation plant, a fully automated underground mine, and a gold smelting and refining workshop. To meet production development needs, WGG now invites applications from suitably qualified candidates for the following key technical positions:

Job Summary

Responsible for analysis and optimization testing of flotation and separation reagents.

Key Duties

• Conduct reagent screening tests and dosage optimization;
• analyse reagent concentrations and addition regimes;
• study reagent performance and mechanisms;
• operate laboratory flotation equipment and analytical balances;
• prepare test reports.

Requirements

• Diploma or above in mineral processing/applied chemistry/analytical chemistry,
• 3+ years of mineral processing reagent analysis and testing,
• knowledge of collector, frothier and modifier chemistry;
• proficient in laboratory flotation and analytical equipment.
