Wagagai Mining (U) Ltd ("WGG") is Uganda's first fully automated large-scale gold mining enterprise, located in Busia. The Company operates a 5,000-tonne-per-day concentrator, a 350-tonne-per-day cyanidation plant, a fully automated underground mine, and a gold smelting and refining workshop. To meet production development needs, WGG now invites applications from suitably qualified candidates for the following key technical positions:
Job Summary: Responsible for paste backfill process parameter optimization and backfill quality control.
Key Duties: Control slurry preparation, binder dosage, pipeline pressure and backfill timing, optimize mix designs based on laboratory results, prevent and address pipeline blockage, segregation and density fluctuation; develop process procedures and improvement plans, coordinate with underground production.
Requirements: Diploma or above in mining/civil/backfill engineering; 3+ years of full-tailings cemented backfill process management; familiar with slurry preparation, mix transport and pipeline hydraulic transport; able to work mine shifts; gold mine backfill experience preferred.
