JOB DETAILS:
We are seeking a competent and detail-oriented Document Controller / Clerk of Works for an Oil & Gas Construction Project on behalf of our Client.
Duty Station:
Hoima, Uganda.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering or Construction Management from a recognized institution.
- 1 year experience in construction, preferably in oil & gas or large infrastructure projects.
Key Requirements:
- Ability to interpret and understand civil and structural engineering drawings.
- Knowledge of construction activities, site supervision and quality requirements.
- Experience in document control, filing, maintaining drawing registers and preparing site reports.
- Good computer skills, particularly MS Word and Excel.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and ability to work with minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain project drawings, records and technical documentation.
- Monitor site activities and verify works against approved drawings and specifications.
- Prepare daily and weekly progress reports.
- Identify and report construction discrepancies and quality issues.
- Coordinate documentation and communication between site teams and project management.
